In 2006, BC Hydro resurrected its plan to add another dam, the Site C Dam, to the Peace River in northeast BC, to meet the growing consumption of electric power in the province. The subject is controversial, with public opinion weighing the pros and cons of the project.

The NLC Library maintains a collection of Site C Dam materials, dating from the 1970’s, when the plan was first proposed.
